I am sooo wanting to get these from Indigo Manila:

Strawberry Shortcake Baby Pouch

Strawberry Shortcake Baby Legs
I really like!!! Hmmm. I should get my measurement (for the pouch) and order them asap, before they get sold out.

I just realized… Only 3 more months and my dearly beloved husband lover of mine will be home! Shall I start my countdown now, or not yet, for fear of getting frustrated if ever his signing off from work will be delayed?
Gash. My heart’s beating so fast right now. Be still my heart. Be still. Maybe I should focus on Eanna’s big day plans first to keep me from further daydreaming and at the same time to keep me from becoming anxious by the day. Ha ha!

Sad news given to me. Apparently, some of my relatives currently living in California are feuding with one another over almost anything and everything under the sun. I know that between families (and even within), arguments and disagreements happen. Yet, it is just sad that what once was an intact clan is suddenly divided because of rumors, jealousy, “crab mentality” etc. I can just imagine what will happen in the future: feuds over inheritance, estates, and other matters. If this goes on then most likely the next generation would need the assistance from an Orange County probate lawyer (that’s where some are currently based) to sort out whatever problems over wills that may happen.
*Sigh*
To think that I wanted to go to the US before my visa expires next year. But of course, I wouldn’t want to push through with it. I mean, I don’t want to experience, feel and witness the hostility between them. I do hope that whatever issues they have (shallow or the deeply rooted ones), they will be able to sort out. In the end, they’re all that they have in this other side of the world.

Just got this e-newsletter from BabyCenter.com and just want to share this:
Your baby is mastering motor control — both “gross” (or large) motor skills, like crawling and standing, and “fine” motor skills, such as picking up objects between forefinger and thumb. It’s especially important to keep choking hazards out of reach when your baby has these new pickup skills (and still likes exploring things with mouth and tongue). Coins, buttons, small toy parts, and food that falls to the ground are all potential problems. Consider vacuuming more often at this stage.
So far our little angel is right on target!

She likes holding on to things, her favorite is the dining chair! When it comes to picking up items, she has mastered that art (especially my mobile phone, my wallet, my bag) at an earlier month. I’m fortunate though that when it coms to small stuff, she just picks them up and looks at them. She has never put anything in her mouth, not even food. Is that normal? Hahaha. Still, we have to be more watchful, as we may never know, right?
*Sigh*
She’s so pretty. So in love with my baby.

Lately, I have noticed that I have been focusing on house stuff, and that I haven’t bought Eanna a treat for quite a while. I thought about this because just this morning, I saw her wear a shirt that I believe she has just worn recently. So it means, either her Nanny just gets the first thing in her cabinet, or that most of my Eanna’s infant clothing no longer fit her. I would like to think that the clothes do not fit her, so I guess I have to check now all of my baby’s current items, as well as my baby’s needs.
Also, I am seriously considering changing, or at least buying BPA-free bottles. I have read numerous articles about this and though I have read somewhere that Avent has issued a statement that their bottles are safe, I am considering buying glass bottles (what my Mom used for bottle feeding me). I would really like to buy Evenflo glass bottles, but saw these nicer (though more expensive) versions.

Besides, I think Eanna’s bottles are slowly wearing out, so I really need to buy newer ones. Excuses, excuses. Anyway. Gotta go for now. Gotta do some surfing and see what else Eanna needs, other than new sets of clothes (no more shoes please hahaha!) and bottles.

Blame it on the latest issue of Preview magazine, I’m now making a list of health and beauty products that I am planning to purchase (one by one please!). Good thing I read this mag just yesterday, because if I got hold of it earlier last week, I probably would’ve bought a couple of vanity stuff when I went to Powerplant with my family last Friday. From bust lifters to makeup removers, the mag, though it is the “Best Dressed Issue,” featured pages and pages of beauty must-haves. it also updated me on what’s new in the makeup scene. Hello, now there’s a Duwop prime venom! I know, I may be late already but hey, better late than never noh!
I also liked the fact that they have also featured organic products (past and present issues), and again it updated me on the latest on one of my favorite organics brands, Origins Organics. I love love this brand. I plan to treat my already damaged hair with Origins conditioning hair oil.
Anyway, here’s my list of bath and body products I am hoping to get. Again, one at a time. Hahaha.
- Body Shop Body Focus Bust Firmer - hehehe, am I too vain to get this?
- Duwop Prime Venom - to replace my Duwop lip venom. Hope this won’t be as sticky as the lip venom.
- Skinfood Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover - like what the mag says, there’s no excuse to go to bed with makeup on.
- Bloom’s Eyebrow Liner - my sister just totally got my eyebrow tamer. Need a new one.
- Origins Conditioning Hair Oil - like what I mentioned, for my really dry hair.
- Lotion for the little bumps in my legs - hmmm, I should go to the derma for this.
I’m drooling already as I type. Gash.
Anyway, I just remembered (thanks, #6) that I should go to the dermatologist to have my legs checked. I am now very conscious that my legs have little bumps (chicken skin!), especially since baring legs are nice right now. Maybe it’s because I’m 30 (ahem, another reason to make this excuse hahaha, when will I stop using this lame excuse?) that I’m beginning to be very conscious about my body (hello, bust firmer?). If I have to resort to laser hair removal, I will do that both for my legs and my underarms. Or is that too vain already? I still want to keep within the line of hygiene rather than blatant vanity, you know.
Anyway, all for now. Gotta re-read Preview. Love this issue, go get yourself one!

Last Friday, I trested my staff for lunch (we ate Mongolian food), and I came across this little store that sold Strawberry shortcake items! I got the pricelist of the those that I wanted (backpacks, school supplies, coloring books, stickers, towels, tumblers), and though I found the price of each item to be ok, my friend J told me that it’s still way cheaper to buy them in Divisoria. You know, likt half of the price, and still negotiable?
So anyway, while waiting for our said Divisoria trip, I thought of other things that we can give as party favors. So far what we have thought of are for the kids, but in first birthdays, are adult guests given treats as well? Just like when I was planning on our wedding, I thought of giving chocolate bar favors to our guests. That or other edible wedding favors, such as chocolate and caramel coated apples, cupcakes, or candy mints in tin boxes. Maybe this would be a good idea this time around?
To make it more in line with the theme though, I’m considering giving out personalized candy bars, with strawberry shortcake printed covers. Hmm… I would have to scout for a good supplier though. But if this gets a little too expensive and goes out of the budget, then maybe we should just stick to kids favors. Hahaha. Cheapskate!

I happened to read the Daily Digest sent via mail of n@w, and I follwed the thread where one asked what were the good European destinations. The replies weren’t that surprising, but at least those who commented had first had experience. The top choices were France, UK, and Spain.
So here I am again checking out websites to lookmfor the best accommodations when we decide to finally push through with our European tour (a possibility since I won’t be able to go with my family in HK, thus less expense for that!). First was France. I love love Paris, well at least I love to go and experience Paris. I wanted to see the Louvre, the Eiffel, to walk the streets of Paris. Hehehe. There are nice Paris hotels that I checked out, and this kinda looks nice…
Love the interior of this, and its near the Louvre. I like!
*Sigh*
Ok, then we go to UK. I really want to go London, to check out the clubs (haha) as well as want to watch the Party at the Park (double sigh). I know London is quite expensive, so I hope there will be London hotels that can fit our budget. If we go north however and fancy to experience the Scotland, my friend C told me that Edinburgh is worth going to. Well, I hope the cheap Edinburgh hotels aren’t scary, for I heard too many tales that this city is quite haunted. How true? I don’t know. But hey, I really am a scare-dy cat. Don’t want to see no unnatural beings, you know. Tehehehe.
Last but not the least, Spain. Well, I hope by the time we go here, I have touched up on my Spanish! My Aunt told me there are affordable Barcelona hotels, but she told me that we’re welcome to stay in their place. Nice.
*sigh* here I go again daydreaming about European trips. Back to Earth, Vanessa, deal with Eanna’s first birthday first. Hahaha!
